It's Cow (and client) Appreciation Day!

Today is Cow Appreciation Day, a special "holiday" when Chick-fil-A fans across the country indulge in a little light bovine cosplay for free food. You read that right. Your favorite chicken chain is offering a free breakfast, lunch, or dinner entree to customers who dress up like a cow and herd over to one of their restaurants today.

You may be asking: What does dressing up as a cow entail? Would a few painted-on spots do? Or does one need to stoop to silicone udders to secure that delicious hand-breaded chicken sandwich placed perfectly between two, buttered buns with two, crispy, crucial pickles?

Mmmm.

Well, According to Chick-fil-A's website, "any sort of cow apparel" is admissible, so what are you waiting for?!

Actually, don't go just yet. There’s more. We thought this special day would be the perfect time to dote on a couple of our favorite partners — both of whom lead their Chick-fil-A restaurants by utilizing the Wildsparq platform with their leadership teams.

Andrew Privitera is moving from Nebraska to a brand new Chick-fil-A in New York, and Taylor Mitchell is from Chick-fil-A Turtle Creek in Jonesboro, Arkansas. We consider it a huge blessing to be associated with a brand like Chick-fil-A that has such a long and storied history of leadership and creating a thriving culture where leaders succeed. Their focus on service, hospitality, and treating others with honor, dignity, and respect should be a model we ALL try to follow day in and day out. We're proud to work with leaders in more than 300 restaurants across the country that all share in this great legacy, and Taylor and Andrew are perfect examples.

We asked Taylor why she chose to implement Wildsparq with his Director Team:

“We chose Wildsparq because we knew that we needed a platform to help our leaders grow, personally and professionally,” she said. “Once we started Wildsparq, our team instantly became vulnerable with one another. Some of our Directors had known each other for years but they said they began to truly understand one another after using Wildsparq.”

We asked Andrew the same:

“I wanted a professional Leader Development Program that still allows me to control the messaging of how content is received. After researching a lot of companies, I found that Wildsparq was the perfect solution. (Since starting Wildsparq), we have retained 90% of leaders, and our leadership team feels invested in (the company). Now, my employees must be enrolled in Wildsparq to be considered for future promotions.”

Back in Arkansas, Taylor continues, “Using Wildsparq with our Team has resulted in knowledge of their personal skills and abilities, allowing their full potential to be used to the highest capacity throughout the restaurant and in their personal life.”

Finally, Andrew brings it home when he adds:

“In our third month, the Wildsparq learning objective focused on “Purpose.”  This was such a powerful lesson, as several Team Leaders and Managers really opened up about their own life purpose. Similar to Truett Cathy’s life purpose of “A good name is rather to be chosen that great riches,” we talked about our own life purpose. Not only did we learn so much about each other, but we took this opportunity to really highlight Truett’s life, teaching our leadership team about the meaningful history of our great company. The next week was such a joy, because my director team and I were hearing so many conversations between managers, Team Leaders and Team Members about Wildsparq, Truett’s life, and our company history. It’s so important to remember who we are as a company, and Wildsparq helps us do that.”

What a privilege to be associated with great leaders and great companies like Chick-fil-A. It makes what we do on a daily basis that much more meaningful and gratifying. So, thank you, Taylor and Andrew, for sharing, and for allowing us to serve you and your teams.

And thank YOU, Chick-fil-A, for the free food today!

Now, where did I put those cow spots?
